Lara Helson


Lara Helson is a Choreographer, Teacher and Performer from the Central Coast with 17 years of dance training.She has been intensely training in all styles and specialised in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical and Contemporary. Since a young age, Lara has been mentored through her training by Chris Duncan and Darren Disney. She completed her Diploma in Elite Performance at Brent Street Studios in 2019 which allowed her to train with Australia’s leading choreographers in the Performing Arts industry such as Cassie Bartho, Sophie Holloway, Paris Cavanagh, Stephen Tannos, Mitchell Woodcock and Matthew Gode.
In 2017, Lara was selected as one of the 20 tap dancers across Sydney in The Forge Tap Project. Through this program she was able to work under the guidance of Sydney’s leading Tap choreographers including - Thomas Egan, Ritchie Miller, Nathaniel Hancock and Sally Dashwood. From this, she featured in many concept videos and live performances with the company.
Lara’s experience ranges from Music Videos, Television and Live Performances. They include “The Voice” as a featured dancer, “Dancing With the Stars” and The Premiers Concert 2019 - alongside Casey Donovan, Tim Campbell and Marina Prior. She has also featured in various music videos. Lara was one of 4 featured dancers in AIRPORTS- “Single Together.” As well as appearing in his most recent video “Live In My Head”.
