Bailey Mitchell

Bailey Mitchell has studied dance with D3 Darren Disney Dance since 2013, starting at 8 years of age. This year will mark his 8th year of dancing with the studio. During his journey as a dancer, Bailey has trained in many genres including Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro and Ballet. Although Bailey has immersed himself in quite a few different styles of dancing his passion is to tap. He has always been the quite boy on the block, however throughout his time at the D3 Studio, his confidence has really grown and he has developed some great friendships.  

Bailey has been extremely grateful to of received some major awards in the following areas while dancing at D3. These awards include:

- Best Boy Performer in 2015

- Studio Tap Award in 2016

- Studio Scholarship Award in 2017 

- Studio Senior Jazz Award in 2019  

Bailey has also performed in many dance eisteddfods, both for solo and groups dances. Some of his major highlights have included receiving:  

- The Senior Reserve Tap Champion Award and The Most Promising Tapper Award at the Gosford City Performing Arts Challenge in 2019. 

- The Best Overall Small Troupe Award at the 2018 Dancelife Nationals Grand Finals for the Boys Tap Extreme Group.        

Bailey has also taken part in other dance opportunities that have come his way. These include performing at Youth in Performing Arts (YIPA) and School Spectacular as a Featured Dancer in the Tap Ensemble category. To broaden his abilities he has also attended The Australian Dance Festival (ADF), The Sydney Tap Dance Festival and The Tap Tour.  

During 2019 Bailey was also given the opportunity to help teach The Junior Boys Tap Classes. This has allowed him to share his knowledge and experiences with the younger generation of students, while also developing his own personal skills in the area of teaching.
